A Letter From our President

There will be a meeting for general members of the East Central Touchdown Club this Thursday at 7:00 at the football field house.

Football summer work outs start this week and preparations for the 2010 season need to begin. This meeting is very important for the success of our fundraisers and the future of the Touchdown Club. Our coaches and players are working hard to improve our program! We as parents need to support their efforts! More money needs to be raised to help purchase new equipment, training camps and upkeep on existing facilities.

We have more than 130 young men participating in football from 7 thru 12 grades but fewer than 20 parents participating in Touchdown Club events. Compared to all other sports at ECHS football has asked very little of its parents, its time for change. NOT requesting that you spend 20 hrs a week helping! Just come to meetings and see if there is something you can help get accomplished. We have three major items of the agenda for Thursday meeting:

1) Fundraiser - Golf Tournament (July 11, 2009) Need teams, hole sponsors and donations for door prize’s (see attachment)
2) Fundraiser- Fish Fry
3) Election of new officers- Secretary – for this year. Concession stand director- for next year (help this year and understand the operation)


Please make every effort to attend and support your child’s efforts to become to the best player he can be! Also, not all players and parents have E-mail address so please spread the word of the meeting to other parents!
